The Team

MAGDALENA GIACOMELLI, MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Having the privilege of assisting The Fragrance Foundation UK in enforcing a network of developers, brands, perfumers, and regular consumers and fragrance passionates is a delicate but highly gratifying challenge! Sharing resources with consumers and future generations of fragrant professionals is also particularly rewarding, especially when I receive feedback on how my work and knowledge offer introductory access to various aspirants who want to join the perfumery world!

What is your favourite Scent Memory?

The saltiness of Southern Tuscan seawater, clashing with the breezy air perfumed of maritime pine trees and lavender from my childhood holidays ... I used to visit the Italian region with my parents to study the local Etruscan sites but as a child, I would always end up paying more attention to the scented air and smell-scapes surrounding the beautiful Maremma area rather than to the excavations!

Your favourite fragrance?

A leathery incense masterpiece- Bohemian Woods, by Mathieu Nardin for Atelier Oblique.

London rain…fresh, earthy, and familiar. It reminds me of home.

Why do you love fragrance?

Fragrance has been a true passion of mine for as long as I can remember — after all, can a girl ever really have too many perfumes? I love discovering new and captivating scents and the way fragrance can instantly transform how you feel. Whether it’s uplifting, refreshing, comforting or empowering, the right fragrance has the wonderful ability to brighten your day and become part of those little moments that make you feel your best.

What is your Scent Memory?

Being by the sea is one of my favourite memories. I love the fresh sea air, the breeze and the feeling of freedom that comes with being out on the water. Jo Malone London Wood Sage & Sea Salt instantly takes me back to those moments, with its fresh, salty scent reminiscent of the British coast. It’s uplifting, refreshing and captures the joy of being outdoors by the sea perfectly.
