How did you get in to the Fragrance Industry?

I started as a Christmas temp, spritzing people on the shop floor during the busiest month of the year. I had no idea what I was doing in the first few days but learned quickly and loved the buzzing atmosphere in store. After moving from one department store to another, I decided I liked it enough and took on a full-time sales consultant position – the rest as they say is history.

 

Top tips for entering the industry at any level

You have to be curious, dedicated and professional. People think that Beauty is a frivolous, fun and superficial world – but it is a business and you need to show up with determination to succeed, be accountable for your work and demonstrate a positive attitude.

 

Why do you believe this is a destination industry?

The beauty industry has shown an amazing resilience – even during tough economic periods, Beauty has continued to boom and all signs show this will continue to be the case for many years to come. Moreover, it is a hugely creative and dynamic industry where competition drives innovation and excellence.
