1993

Stephen Quinn appointed Chairman of Fragrance Foundation UK.

First FiFi Awards given at COPRA Lunch at the Savoy.  Two categories - Best New Men's & Women's Prestige Fragrances.  Winners were Heritage by Guerlain and Gio by Giorgio Armani.

   

1997

Annette Green, President,  The Fragrance Foundation worldwide addresses the COPRA Lunch.
   

1998

Tom Richardson appointed Chairman of Fragrance Foundation UK. The Fragrance Foundation celebrates 50 years.
   

1999

Seventh annual presentation of the FiFi Awards UK moves to The
Banqueting House, Four categories - new prestige fragrances, advertising, packaging and classic fragrances.

   

2000

Rod Kelly and Jenny O'Donoghue appointed Joint Chairmen of Fragrance Foundation UK.  Janine Roxborough Bunce appointed Executive Director.  Two new awards introduced - Best New Fragrance in Limited Distribution (under 50 doors) and the first publicly -voted award - Scent of the 20th Century.  Fragrance Week is launched in the UK stores, with the theme, 'Imagine a World without Scent'.  £1.00 from every bottle of fragrance sold that week goes to the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
   

2001

The FiFi UK Awards move to The Dorchester, to accommodate 400 guests from the fragrance industry, and support Macmillan Cancer Relief.
   

2002

10th Anniversary and the first year that the FiFi Awards support Teenage Cancer Trust. 
   

2003

John Ayres is appointed Chairman of Fragrance Foundation UK.  Rochelle Bloom takes over as President of The Fragrance Foundation worldwide.  The Foundation concentrates on developing new and innovative ways to energise and promote fragrance.  200 new fragrances are launched in the UK.  The UK Foundation introduces the Certified Fragrance Sales Specialists on-line training programme.  The Perfume Shop launch the first customer- nominated FiFi Award.  Cosmopolitan magazine sponsors the 'Sexiest Fragrance' Award and ES Magazine readers nominate their favourite 'Scent of the City'.  The Foundation introduces the Fragrance Retailer of the Year Award.
   

2004

Fragrance Foundation UK Directors attend the first Fragrance Foundation International Conference.  At the FiFi Awards, In Style Magazine sponsors a Modern Classic Scent award, GQ sponsors the Most Distinguished Gentlemen's Fragrance and House of Fraser customers vote in the People's Choice award.
   

2005

Celebrity fragrances become a key category in the industry.  The UK Foundation launches a new website and opens the door into the global fragrance universe.  A research project on the UK fragrance market is established with the London Business School.  Marie Claire readers vote on the Best New Scent for the FiFi Awards.  The first new 'Best Home Fragrance' award is given to Jasper Conran.  The Foundation holds its first Management Training Seminar at Vogue House.
   

2006

Second Management Training takes place at the London College of Fashion for over 100 mid-level managers.
   

2007

15th FiFi Awards!  Fragrance companies are more willing to break with the 'status quo' and are more open to new distribution, strategic alliances and media alternatives.  World of Interiors sponsor Best New Home Fragrance award.  The UK introduces the Circle of Champions lunch and gives first accolade to Sir Paul Smith.
   

2008

Peter Norman is appointed Chairman of the Fragrance Foundation UK.  Over 1,000 new fragrance brand issues this year.  Despite the recession the industry moves onwards.  Dame Vivienne Westwood  receives second Circle of Champion award.
   

2009

Jean Paul Guerlain receives FiFi Award for creativity and special services to the fragrance industry. Kenneth Green made third member of the Circle of Champions.
   

2010

FiFi UK Fragrance Awards move to Royal Opera House, in aid of Look Good…Feel Better.
